I have had career twists all my life, living in several countries doing various things, mostly connected with practice and teaching of art, design and architecture and also language teaching, specially English. I master several languages, Portuguese, Spanish, French, English and spoken Japanese. I have good communication and negotiation skills, and I could be of great value to multinational companies. But I am 66 years old and ways get narrower. I would just like to apply my experience in public relations to worthy projects. I can be found on Linkedin and Facebook.

You are definitely right about applying for a job even if you don't have every qualification. I think most employers are realistic that they just aren't going to find a perfect candidate

Nice post, Miriam. To help job seekers find the right company, especially to locate those who are hiring, they can visit www.LINKUP.com, the only job search engine that ONLY grabs jobs off company websites, never job boards.
Have a great 2010.
