Being all hawt I told them to google me to see what I meant about having a not uncommon name and coming up first in results. All of a sudden 60 saucer sized eyes looked up at me and I knew something wasn’t right. That morning another Karla Porter had been denied bail –> she paid hit men to murder her hubby. It took a lot of work to burrow my name out of that mess.

Your advice is golden =)

I’ve repeated that statement to jobseekers a million times throughout my 16-year career. Finding a great job requires the commitment to waking up each day with a fresh perspective, focus and a multi-layer strategic plan. Your article covers the importance of staying connected to people, maintaining an online brand, and having a resume that makes an impact to its readers. The only point I would add is that job seekers should definitely have a “coach” or some other type of support that offers guidance, encouragement and accountability. Great article! Thanks!

Person-to-person contact and a great attitude can over come some deficiencies in any other area of a job search–of course, shore up efforts on all of these points.
