Creating a good resume is your chance to catch potential employer's attention. This is a way to sell our self to employers. Resume should be concise, detailed and truthful. There is no room for error in resume writing. Keyword here is PROOF READ. Read not twice but ten times.

Cheers,

Miriam,
I always tell my clients that there's never any excuse for an error on a resume. Yes, you are so right about spell-check not always catching misspellings when the word it sees can exist in its current spelling (e.g., "lead" instead of "led," very common error for the past tense on executive resumes). One tip I use as a resume writer is to read the resume from the bottom up, not the top down. That way you won't get caught up in the ideas, but able to actually "see" each word. Thanks for explaining how to customize spell-check!

Miriam,
I never knew you could customize the spell checking function of the dictionary! What a brilliant idea and I am so glad you shared this! I am going to make sure everyone knows about this! And, the video was a hoot! Great post!
