I couldn&#039;t agree more that exuding a positive, hopeful attitude will boost one&#039;s opportunities in job search (and in life). Interestingly, I just read (and commented on) a post by Dr. Ellen Weber (at her Brain Leaders and Learners blog) that discussed how languishing in negativity and venting actually builds more neural paths of the same, while encouraging others will actually increase positive serotonin levels. So, to your point of surrounding yourself with positive folks resonates strongly with me!

Moreover, the other sound tips and steps you provided to maintain a positive, upbeat attitude are important for all of us, but particularly for individuals in the throes of job search.
