					<description><![CDATA[Hi Miriam. I like this post - there are definitely some things not to say in an interview, especially if you don&#039;t know the interviewer well. It&#039;s hard to judge if someone is ok with a little swearing, so best to avoid that!


However, comments like &quot;I&#039;m really nervous&quot; or &quot;I&#039;m committed to my family&quot; - I will disagree with your sentiments here. Yes, interviews are about showing your confident, capable side, but comments like this can show that you are human. 


If someone IS committed to their family, there is a way of conveying this without making the employer think the job is not important to the candidate. As with all things in an interview, it&#039;s about how the information is presented that influences the impact.
