If someone is applying for a marketing job of any kind, I do feel that the Klout score is a big factor because it is an indication of how engaging you are online since knowing how to use social media effectively is a must in any marketing field. And no it is not easy to game your score anymore. I have written many posts on this issue and did some experiments on this myself. Klout is much better with the gaming issue. However, as far as looking at the Klout score as the only factor, no. In fact I encourage anyone in business to put relevant information out in their networks because a high score among relevant information that they receive engagement on is where the influence is. Klout is just a measuring tool, and the score is looked at but what is looked at more is everything that is composing that score.
