Sounds like a winner - I'll look for it. And there's always the original book, Emotional Intelligence - which is also terrific. Thanks for the review!

EQ is a very interesting subject, with its relationship to personal branding and communication in general. It seems almost like EQ is what ensures others are aware of your professional IQ (skills, experience, education). If there is nothing supporting the EQ, it won't help you find or maintain a job; conversely, if you are the perfect candidate but recruiters do not know your name, still nothing will occur. I know we are all trying to improve both simultaneously, so thank you for helping us out!

Since I've been job hunting for a year now it's clear to me that I need to re-evaluate my approach. I would love to learn how to incorporate EQ into my search. I have been self-educating on how to use social media both as a marketing professional and as a job hunter. I've also been following you on Twitter and reading your blog. From observing your style and approach to Twitter, I have incorporated much of what I've learned following you into my professional marketing activities. I also saw that you were mentioned at least twice in Tim O'Reilly's "The Twitter Book." Good for you! Thanks for including me in the drawing.

Cynthia - I really enjoy reading about EQ, and especially intrigued by research that shows that you can really improve your skills! I will be choosing at random on Friday night for the free copy!

Thanks for the review. I'll have to add it to my reading list. When I first heard of EQ (emotional quotient) I was baffled. But the more I read, learn, brand and market myself I am a firm believer.

Thank you for the chance to win a copy too!
